The house here at La Grande Connais was built in two phases. The original stable was built sometime before 1769 and the main house around 1850. Today the stable has been converted into a separate unit and is connected to the main house. The property has all the conveniences required for modern life but maintains a great amount of original character.

Garden
The house sits in over an acre of open, flat garden overlooking fields
of grazing cows and distant farms. It is often silent except for sound of birds
and the occasional tractor. It is easy to relax and enjoy the peace of this
beautiful place whilst being only two miles from the village which has two
boulangeries, two bars and an excellent restaurant. The large garden is
also an ideal spot for children to let off steam and families to enjoy
meals outside together or a BBQ using the outside BBQ cooking house.
